The Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce, SACC-USA, is the umbrella organization for 20 regional chambers across the United States. The mission of the SACC network is to facilitate and support trade, commerce, and investment between Sweden and the U.S in both directions. As a J-1 visa sponsor, SACC-USA facilitates knowledge exchange and talent mobility for our chambers and their corporate members.
Job Description
SACC-USA is now recruiting one Talent Mobility Outreach intern to SACC-USA for the fall of 2023. As a Talent Mobility Outreach intern, you will continue to develop the SACC-USA Talent Mobility program that facilitates transatlantic knowledge exchange between Sweden and the United States. An innovative, driven, and independent mentality with excellent communications skills is required as the position entails developing the program through a long-term perspective with all SACC-USA's regional chambers in mind. Sustaining and building relationships with regional SACC chambers and member companies across the United States and Sweden are critical aspects to develop and promote the Talent Mobility Program.
The training position will allow you to perform various business activities including:
Business development - creating new ideas to develop the Talent Mobility Program further
Building and sustaining business relationships with SACC regional chambers, SACC member companies, and Swedish companies
Creating marketing materials and social media content
Administrative tasks such as setting up job ads, performing first-screening of candidates, and assisting other departments of SACC-USA
Project management
PLEASE NOTE: While candidates are welcome to apply for multiple positions at SACC, it's important to highlight that accepting an offered position and subsequently accepting a second position at SACC is not allowed. Doing so will result in disqualification from both positions.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a university program or graduated, within a relevant field of study and:
Fluent in oral and written Swedish and English
Ability to work independently as well as in teams
Outgoing personality and strong communications skills
Excellent organizational and administrative abilities
Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa)
Benefits
There is no monetary compensation for the intern, as SACC-USA is a non-profit organization. However, as an intern abroad you are entitled to apply for scholarships. Some Swedish students, depending on their university program, might also be eligible to receive student aid from CSN.
