Job Description


Are you passionate about finance and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic organizational setting? SACC-USA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance and Business trainee to join our team. The trainee will have an overall responsibility for the chamber’s operations and finances, including budgeting, accounting and financial reporting. The role also involves being responsible for the contact with the Board of Directors. In addition, it entails planning and organizing the finances for the events as well as promoting the chamber together with the other interns. Furthermore, the trainee will work to develop strong and sustainable relations with current and prospective members from all industries through sales pitches, active communication and networking.


Responsibilities

  • Accounting Management: Utilize Quickbooks to manage accounting tasks for the Chamber, including events, membership dues, and other financial transactions. Familiarity with the US-based accounting system is essential.
  • Invoicing and Payment Follow-up: Generate and send invoices for membership dues, and diligently follow up on late payments to ensure timely receivables.
  • Financial Strategy: Collaborate closely with the treasurer to develop and implement a long-term financial strategy for the Chamber. Deliver regular reports on the current financial status and other relevant financial information to treasurer and board meetings.
  • Membership Management: Maintain an up-to-date membership database and manage the CRM system. Assist in membership recruitment efforts and cultivate strong relationships with current and potential members.
  • Event Budgeting: Create budgets for Chamber events to ensure profitability and strategic financial planning.
  • Sponsorship Management: Develop and nurture long-term sponsorship relationships with potential sponsors. Negotiate sponsorship deals and ensure their successful implementation. Monitor and enforce compliance with sponsorship agreements.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled, or recent graduate, in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes).
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Quickbooks.
  • Expert knowledge in Excel and Outlook
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience with CRM systems and membership management is a plus
