Job Description


​​​​​​​We are looking for two outgoing and ambitious interns who are passionate about economy, marketing, operations management, and event planning. Together, they will assist in the day-to-day activities, promote the Chamber, recruit new members and organize the Chamber’s events and operations. Key tasks and duties will include:
  • Promoting the Chamber and Chamber events
  • Assisting in membership program development
  • Provide general office administration
  • Assisting in recruiting new Chamber members
  • Organizing Chamber events, including coordinating volunteers for these
  • Attending Chamber specific networking events
  • Preparing board meetings

Finance and Business Development Intern


As the Finance and Business Development Intern, you will play a crucial role in our organization’s financial operations and business development initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks:
  • Day-to-day accounting activities, including but not limited to handling invoices, processing financial transactions, and reconciling accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets. This involves analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to inform budgetary decisions.
  • Collaborate with our treasurer to support Chamber financial management activities, which may include conducting financial analysis and preparing reports. 
While prior knowledge in accounting systems or communication is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement. However, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills in these areas as you collaborate with the finance team and engage in various communication channels within the organization.​​​​​​​

PLEASE NOTE: While candidates are welcome to apply for multiple positions at SACC, it's important to highlight that accepting an offered position and subsequently accepting a second position at SACC is not allowed. Doing so will result in disqualification from both positions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a university program or graduated within a relevant field of study.
  • Higher education within business administration, finance, communication, or a relevant field.
  • Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes).
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, juggling various responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Possess a strong, outgoing service-oriented mindset, understanding the importance of client satisfaction and relationship-building.
  • Related work or extracurricular experience
  • Leadership and teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical skills

This is a six-month internship starting in July of 2024. The internship does not provide monetary compensation as SACC-USA is a non-profit organization. As an intern abroad, you can apply for scholarships. Depending on the university program, some students may also be eligible for student aid from CSN. SACC-USA will assist with the visa application process. To be eligible for a J-1 visa, you must be a Swedish citizen.
