Job Description


SACC-Georgia is seeking a highly motivated Finance, Data & Business Operations intern who want to gain hands-on experience working with an international business organization and directly with companies, executives, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. The intern will work closely with the Executive Director and SACC-Georgia leadership board and will have the opportunity to take responsibility for real projects rather than simply observing.

The intern will focus on finance, data analysis, bookkeeping support, budgeting, reporting, and organizational structure as well as grant search and submission.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting financial administration and bookkeeping
  • Working with QuickBooks
  • Organizing financial and membership data
  • Maintaining and improving spreadsheets and databases
  • Supporting budgeting and financial planning
  • Analyzing revenues, expenses, membership dues, and event finances
  • Creating financial and management reports
  • Reconciling and organizing historical financial information
  • Developing structured systems for storing and analyzing data
  • Supporting invoice and payment tracking
  • Creating dashboards and reports to help management make better decisions
  • Identifying, preparing and submitting for grant opportunities
  • Supporting general business operations and organizational development
This position is ideal for a person who is analytical, detail-oriented, highly organized, comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets, and interested in finance, accounting, business analytics, or operations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a university program or graduated within a relevant field of study.
  • Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes).
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Structured, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable communicating with professionals and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Comfortable working with large amounts of data
  • Interest or experience in accounting, finance, business analytics, or operations
  • Experience with QuickBooks is strongly preferred

Benefits


This is a six-month internship starting in January of 2027. The internship does not provide monetary compensation as SACC-Georgia is a non-profit organization. As an intern abroad, you can apply for scholarships. Depending on the university program, some students may also be eligible for student aid from CSN. SACC-USA will assist with the visa application process. To be eligible for a J-1 visa, you must be a Swedish citizen.
