Event Operations and Business Intern 2026

Full Time | San Diego | Posted: 3/04/2026

About the host company

Snake Oil Cocktail Company is a privately held hospitality and events company specializing in corporate activations, luxury social events, and large scale nonprofit and civic experiences nationwide. Headquartered in sunny San Diego, California, the company operates multiple flagship venues and executes complex events for globally recognized brands, cultural institutions, and premier nonprofit organizations.

Interns work directly within live operating environments that include Fortune 500 corporate events, internationally recognized conferences, and major nonprofit galas. The exposure provided through this program is rarely accessible at the internship level.

Program Overview

This internship is designed for international students seeking real responsibility inside elite operating environments.
Interns actively support event sales, operations, staffing, and project management across events and clients that have included:
  • TED and TEDx Conferences
  • Comic Con activations
  • Corporate events for Apple, Google, Amazon, Qualcomm, and Adobe
  • National Geographic events
  • Major nonprofit galas and civic fundraisers
  • Professional sports and waterfront activations
  • Luxury weddings and large scale social events
This is not classroom learning. This is immersion by design.

Intern Experience

One of the strongest indicators of a legitimate internship program is what students say after it ends.

A former international intern shared on LinkedIn:

“Throughout this experience, I supported Event sales and Operations across a broad range of responsibilities, helping bringing events to life from planning through execution. I'm leaving with very valuable insights, refined skills and a renewed appreciation for this fast paced, collaborative nature of this industry - especially food & beverage/Venue management.”

Andrea Billborg joined Snake Oil Cocktail Company as an international intern and completed her placement in December of 2025. This was not shadowing. It was direct accountability.

Interns are integrated into active operations across:
  • Corporate activations
  • Nonprofit and civic events
  • Luxury weddings and social experiences
  • High volume hospitality environments
The program is intentionally demanding and deeply collaborative.
