Job Description

As an Agile Product Owner Intern, you will serve as a key liaison between the customers and users of our products and the developers that build it. Develop and communicate a strategic product vision aligned with business objectives, focusing on enhancing marine operations through innovative business process optimization web applications and business intelligence services. This person will work closely with a team of software developers, data engineers and data scientists, supporting both front and back-end development process for suite of applications. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and communicate a strategic product vision aligned with business objectives, focusing on enhancing marine operations through innovative web applications and business intelligence services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including operations teams, to understand business needs and translate them into clear and actionable product requirements.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive product roadmap, outlining feature releases, enhancements, and improvements to optimize marine business processes.
  • Cross-functional collaboration, work closely with development, design, and business intelligence teams to ensure seamless integration of functionalities and effective implementation of data-driven solutions.
  • Champion user-centric design principles, ensuring the products are intuitive, efficient, and aligns with the needs of marine operations, and the greater organization.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on strategic value, customer feedback, and market trends, ensuring the continuous improvement of the product.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements

  • B. Sc Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Math, Business administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Communications
  • Knowledge of agile methodology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into user stories and technical specifications.
  • Understanding of cloud computing services, CI/CD, etc.

Job Description


​​​​​​​Trainee (Remotely), 3-6 months

The Trainee role includes planning, organizing, and executing activities such as business seminars, networking events, and speaker’s events. The Trainee will plan, produce, deliver and follow up program activities that are hosted by SACC Carolinas and in collaboration with other partners.

This includes generating and evaluating event ideas, creating events, marketing proposals, timelines, writing post-event reports and more. The trainee will also be focusing on researching ideas for new events and promotion strategies, including our regular Newsletter. We also need support to work on our social media.

This is a 3- 6 months trainee position beginning ASAP or in January 2024. The traineeship has no monetary compensation, as SACC Carolinas is a non-profit organization.

PLEASE NOTE: While candidates are welcome to apply for multiple positions at SACC, it's important to highlight that accepting an offered position and subsequently accepting a second position at SACC is not allowed. Doing so will result in disqualification from both positions.
