The Swedish American Chamber of Commerce - Minnesota Chapter (SACC-MN) was founded in 1992 and its primary goal is to promote professional development and business opportunities for members. SACC-Minnesota is a non-profit organization that serves the Upper Midwest region, which includes Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin. Through its international network SACC-MN provides its members with numerous benefits and services.
Job Description
SACC-MN is seeking a candidate for the Business Development position. It is a six-month internship located in Minneapolis, starting January 2024. As a Business Development Intern you need to be able to perform independently under supervision and simultaneously be involved in different projects. Tasks will include promoting the Chamber at networking events, meeting with potential members and sponsors, budgeting for and controlling various Chamber events as well as routine administrative tasks. Other tasks involve member relationship management and taking part in marketing initiatives such as updating the website, social media, co-editing newsletter and designing event flyers.
PLEASE NOTE: While candidates are welcome to apply for multiple positions at SACC, it's important to highlight that accepting an offered position and subsequently accepting a second position at SACC is not allowed. Doing so will result in disqualification from both positions.
Requirements
Who are we looking for?
Currently enrolled in a university program or graduated, within relevant field of study
Ability to work independently as well as in groups
Strong communications skills
Excellent organizational and administrative abilities
Fluent in oral and written Swedish and English
Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa)
