friends at this business mixer where you have the opportunity to meet with forty
master students in industrial engineering and management from Chalmers University
in Sweden. They have had the opportunity to join a summer study program at U.C.
Berkeley and Stanford University this year for eight weeks. The program is organized
by Professor Hans Björnsson together with his colleges at Berkeley and Stanford.
The coordinator at Berkeley is Dr. Bill Ibbs.

For the third consecutive year the Danish, Norwegian and Swedish American Chamber
of Commerce's hosted the Annual Scandinavian Cup Golf Event. This year's Golf
Event was an excellent opportunity to play the PGA-Tour golf course at Harding
Park, to socialize and to enjoy Scandinavian Midsummer delicacies. The event was
sold out and was a great success thanks to our generous sponsors.

- WINNING THE 2006 GENERAL ELECTION

‘Alliance for Sweden’ is the common platform for the four major non-socialist
parties in Sweden with the objective to win the 2006 General Election. Represented
by Sven Otto Littorin, Secretary-General of the Moderate Party, and Per Bill,
Vice Chairman of the Swedish Committee on Industry and Trade, the alliance visited
SACC San Francisco on June 13. The political seminar was held at the San Francisco
Tennis Club, where the story behind the establishment of the alliance was told
and the alliance’s future strategies were discussed. The event was intriguing
and questions were vividly discussed throughout the evening.

promising to make "Swedish Success Stories" a reoccurring theme on the SACC San

Leading stem cells researchers and stem cells companies from Sweden and California
gathered in San Francisco on April 26-27, 2005, to share news of exciting scientific
developments as both sides of the Atlantic and to build bilateral research programs.
The symposium brought together pioneers from the life science, finance and legal
communities and featured numerous speaker and panel discussions on both science
and business topics.

Seizing a unique opportunity, the Chamber organized a business exhibit aboard
the Swedish Navel vessel HSwMS Carlskrona on her visit to San Francisco in April
of 2005. The exhibit featured Swedish business from the Bay Area coupled with
the opportunity to experience first hand the life aboard the Swedish Navy's largest
warship and premiere training vessel: HSwMS Carlskrona.

A great opportunity to try fine wines and enjoy beautiful art in great company.
The law firm Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass LLP and SACC-SF board member Viveka
Ågren Rydell, generously co-hosted the event in their lovely Ferry Building office
with a stunning view overlooking the bay of San Francisco. The Swedish painter
Marie-Louise Ullmark vividly described her creations which were displayed during
the evening.
